A win for Logistex and Britvic

Logistex won the ‘Warehouse Operations’ category at the 2019 Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport Annual Awards for Excellence for the automated pallet shuttle solution it designed and installed at Britvic’s site in Leeds.

The system is controlled by Logistex’s own warehouse control software, LWS Reflex, which manages the pallet inventory into and out of the automated store. For despatch, pallet selection is based on pre-configured allocation rules and loads are delivered in sequence to despatch lanes.

Read the case study here, or watch a video of the facility in action here, to find out more about how the new solution is optimising use of space, increasing throughput, reducing truck movements, and consequently improving health and safety.

Kevin Richardson FCILT, Chief Executive at CILT (UK), said; “These awards are designed to encourage and recognise the highest standards in our profession. It is during these award ceremonies that you recognise that we are all extremely proud of what we achieve in challenging circumstances. We should use nights like tonight to communicate that and to strengthen our profession by promoting the vast opportunities and wonderful achievements we continue to come up with.”
